Authors of papers presented at this conference and within the scope of MDPI Instruments may submit a technically extended version to the Special Issue of Instruments - "Applied Metrology and Instrumentation for Emerging Technologies".
This Special Issue is derived from the 2025 IEEE International Conference on Metrology for eXtended Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Neural Engineering—IEEE MetroXRAINE 2025. It focuses on the intersection between instrumentation science and applied metrology, with particular emphasis on the design, implementation, and characterization of innovative instruments and measurement systems supporting new technologies, such as eXtended reality (XR), artificial intelligence (AI), brain–computer interfaces (BCIs), robotics, and intelligent sensor networks.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been previously published, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). Conference papers should be cited and noted on the paper. Please note that submitted extended papers should contain at least 50% new content (e.g., in the form of technical extensions, more in-depth evaluations, or additional use cases) and not exceed 30% copy/paste from the original conference paper.
ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Instruments (ISSN: 2410-390X) is an international, peer-reviewed open-access journal that provides an advanced forum for studies related to the design and applications of instruments, apparatuses, and experimental techniques in disciplinary and interdisciplinary research. Our aim is to encourage researchers to publish their experimental and computational results in as much detail as necessary.
