In a digital era, the technology impacts, influences, assists and improve our life at different levels. The fields of psychology are increasingly facing the main issues concerned with evolving of technology at the service of human life. Specifically, psychological research has proposed a broad spectrum of different methodologies aimed at improving the general living conditions of people in various socio-economical contexts, i.e. work, family, school, interpersonal relations, health. This grounded set of scientific knowledge, professional practice and methodologies of intervention can be purposefully applied to the design and development of technologies that support the human psychological needs and compatible with everyone’s characteristics.
PsychoBit 2023 aims at presenting psychological theories and models that revolve around the improvement of the psychological and relational life of every individual. Specifically, the symposium focuses on technological solutions, mainly employing IT, software and hardware solutions to meet psychological needs.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
Dr. Michela Ponticorvo, PhD, is currently fixed term researcher and teacher in Psychometrics and scientific responsible of NAC “Orazio Miglino” (Natural and Artificial Cognition Laboratory). Graduated in Psychology, she obtained a doctorate in Artificial Intelligence and Psychology and she is the author, also together with other members of NAC, of more than 70 works published nationally and internationally.
Her activity is dedicated both to basic research and applied research mainly on the study of spatial and numerical representations, the construction of artificial models in the cognitive field and the application of these models in education.
Prof. Davide Marocco, PhD – is a full professor of Psychometrics at University of Naples. He is the coordinator of the master in Artificial Intelligence for Humanities at University of Naples “Federico II”.
He has coordinated numerous European funded projects in the domain of technologies applied to psychological modelling. His research interest are focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence, as artificial neural networks to Psychometrics and Psychology.
Prof. Onofrio Gigliotta, PhD is associate professor in General Psychology at the University of Naples Federico II where he teaches General Psychology in the Degree Course in Psychological Sciences and in the Degree Course in Philosophy. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology. His research activity has always focused on natural and artificial intelligent systems, mainly in the reproduction of adaptive behaviors through embodied systems - with a physical body - controlled by artificial neuronal networks.
