Conference Awards

IEEE MetroXRAINE 2022 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Conference Award Ceremony.

The award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at IEEE MetroXRAINE Conference.
The Best Conference Paper Award is sponsored by MDPI BioMedInformatics Journal.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 300 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the IEEE MetroXRAINE Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroXRAINE Award Ceremony.

The award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age.
The Best Paper Presented by a Young Researcher Award is sponsored by Micron.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 300 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a woman.
The Best Paper Presented by a Woman is promoted by IEEE Woman in Engineering - Italy Section Affinity Group and sponsored by MDPI Sensors Journal.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 300 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

The award recognizes the best contribution (paper with oral or poster presentation) authored and presented by a PhD student.
The Best PhD contribution Award is sponsored by Protom Robotics.

The awarded PhD student will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 300 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

The contributions are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation (oral and/or poster).

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroXRAINE Award Ceremony.

This award recognizes the best paper on service innovation.
The Best Paper on Service Innovation is sponsored by the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals - ISSIP.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the IEEE MetroXRAINE Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroXRAINE Award Ceremony.

The award recognizes the best paper presented as a Poster.
The Best Poster Award is sponsored by MDPI Instruments Journal.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 300 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroXRAINE Award Ceremony.

The award recognizes the best Live Demonstration.
The Best Live Demonstration Award is sponsored by Micron

The presenter of the awarded demo, and co-presenters if any, will be entitled to:

• A prize money amounting to 300 CHF;
• A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
• The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroXRAINE Award Ceremony.
